Oftentimes when people have busy schedules it is difficult to find any down time.  Sometimes it is your boss who won’t give you any break time.  Even many self-employed professionals have very demanding careers that can seem to take the entire day with no room for any play!  If you are one of those people who are pushing it to the limit, consider the importance of taking Me-Breaks to not only improve your overall health and well being, but also to be more productive!

A Me Break is a short 15-minute period where you relax doing something for yourself.  I created Me-Breaks for my clients so that they could get more things done and feel less tired.  You can find more information about the importance of taking your breaks, as well as an “ahhh Me-Break CD,” at my other site Yes I Can With A Plan!.

A good Me-Break is taking a walk in the woods.  If you don’t have the woods nearby where you live, consider a nice quiet walk in the neighborhood.   And of course Me-Breaks are wonderful indoors where you might do a meditation or just simply take a nap!  If you are cooped up at the office a nice short stroll to a quiet area can be easy to fit in without anyone noticing.  Remember we are only talking 15 minutes!  And Me-breaks are not lunch breaks.  You need Me-Breaks as well as meal breaks too.

For me-breaks to be effective they have to be devoid of work.  Even though booking a hotel reservation during a Me-Break is about your personal time, this is still a chore.  You need a relaxing few moments to be yourself and regain your composure.  And once you have had a period to relax, you are more productive during subsequent periods of work.  So don’t forget to tell your boss someday that the most important ingredient to productivity is a good ole’ fashioned break.

It’s no secret that dreams hold clues to your super-consciousness and connection to the rest of the universe.  Dreams are powerful visions that can help people understand their lives.  All one has to do to harness this ability is to be more observant; and as a healer I can help people get focused.

So many spiritual masters claim that healing begins when we take responsibility for all our thoughts and emotions and learn how to better manage our minds.   No matter what we are pursuing in our own individual spirituality, we are told time and time again control happens when we learn the importance of meditation.  At times it seems almost mystical and afar.   But is it really that complicated to learn how to meditate?  How do people know if they are meditating correctly or even at all?  Is meditation even right for me?

In my studies as a therapist I have noticed that meditation is a natural function that all people do whether we recognize it or not!  Learning anything is taking the time throughout the day to think about things that pertain to a particular challenge  or topic of understanding.  To meditate effectually is really just to become a better time manager and take the time to spend each day thinking about something toward a greater awareness or attention.   Some people like to take nature walks to quietly think things over while enjoying the great outdoors.  For others meditation can occur while they are driving a car along a familiar route while listening to music.  Of course we are all familiar with the lotus seating position of meditation.  I suggest that meditation even happens while working out.  Anytime a person is engaged in personal introspection, he or she is meditating.

And the great benefit of meditation are personal growth and increased understanding, giving people who meditate an edge over others who are unprepared.  Thus by meditating we make progress over our intelligence, relationships, happiness, understanding, love, etc., by having controlled times throughout the day to quietly mull things over for ourselves.   Even if your focus is to not concentrate on outside thoughts and relax your mind by staring at a candle.  Meditations are as unique as the people doing them.

Surprised to hear how simple and easy it is to be meditating; and the idea we are doing it already?  The trick is to recognize when we are doing it, or what works for us, and do it throughout your day.  This is the focused attention that is meditation that most spiritual masters talk about.  There is no special qualification to be meditating — just a willingness to further focus your intentions along a specific line of thought.

During my practice at “Center For the Self” in Sedona I have helped many clients achieve lasting success by helping them realize their power within to take charge and effectively accomplish healing meditations.  And many times healing the body naturally, without unnecessary drugs and medication, right over the phone.   I go inside my mind to find ways to combine our energies together to accomplish a healing vibration.  And by using the art of ColorPuncture I am able to focus my attention on the energies that are emanating from my client.  Then I can be more specific by quietly focusing on what is wrong — and how I can heal it by projecting my intentions through a color therapy wand.

All of us, or at least most of us have had a toothache at one time or another. What you may not have realized is that the pain in the tooth, or actually the gums around the tooth, could be an alarm that there is a problem in a correlating organ. It may not be a problem with the tooth at all. However, because each tooth is aligned energetically with a specific organ, the dis-ease from the organ may be manifesting as pain in the tooth area.

Pain is an alarm clock, telling us it’s time to take care of ourselves. Ouch, ouch, ouch, something is out of alignment! The pain is a trigger for us to change our behavior so we can avoid a particular harmful situation in the future.

Pain is the most expensive affect in our life. It is the number one, most common reason over half of all Americans seek medical attention every year. Pain is one of the heaviest costs distressing our already over stressed health insurance system. The good news is much of the pain can be prevented. We can start by paying attention to our diet and avoiding excess caffeine, alcohol and sugar. Another sure fire method to decrease or avoid pain is to learn to relax. Meditating, walking, doing what you find enjoyable will lower blood pressure that often causes headaches and leads to other stress related health issues.

What does ColorPuncture have to do with toothache pain?

While I was earning my certification in ColorPuncture(1), I learned that each tooth is energetically linked to a specific organ in the body. This turned out to be invaluable information as my very first long-distance client, Carol who lives in Texas, was experiencing excruciating pain in her fourth tooth. And, as you may guess, her goal was to avoid a root canal.
Carol was seeing a dental specialist during the course of our treatments to make sure she didn’t have any infection or poison leaking into her body. I did three treatments on Carol. The fourth tooth is associated with lung and colon. By doing specific treatments for the fourth tooth along with lung/colon treatments, we were able to unwind the dis-ease. Carol and I are both happy to report that Carol was able to avoid a root canal.
Side-effects of the treatments on Carol include and increase in energy and clarity, a better outlook toward life and she is now able to let go easier.
